Another interesting topic I found from another site. Thank you HowlerTheDarkWolf for this interesting question.
I place this topic here as this isn't about specifically some one film but considers two of them. So, who do you think had more evil in them, Scar or Zira?
My thoughts...
Scar was willing and able to murder his own, close family members--including a young child and he blamed this child of the child's Dad's death... and he attempted to throw this child (then grown up) to his death just after revealing to him that he'd trusted his father's true killer and carried false guilt for all those years... I think that's awfully evil. But I don't think the destruction he caused to Pridelands and intenting to let the pride starve to death was all about evilness though... I believe it was more about pride and self-hate or something--not able to give in and admit he'd failed as a king instead of being "10 times the king Mufasa was"... Anyway, for all we know Scar starts with just jealousy and greed, as in doesn't have eny practical mistreatment to provoke him.
Zira was murderous but hadn't really yet done anything evil by the time she got exiled... This wrongful exile and Simba killing her obsessive love interest, Scar, sends her into murderous plan for which she robbs her own son of his childhood by training him into a killer to avenge her loss. In the end she too is shown to be willing to kill her own child and kill anyway by her own paw. But I believe her insanity and evilness developed through the movie's years...
Of course Scar's developed too, throughout years we weren't shown, but... I guess I'll say Scar. Scar has more evil in him. At least Zira wasn't a child murderer and didn't do all the evil stuff for greed and jealousy but for revenge, as in she had more of "justification" even though she did go too far.
So, yeah--in my opinion, Scar has more evil in him than Zira in her.
