A fan pick created by Okami_Amaterasu at Fanpop's TLK club couple of years ago. I thought this was interesting so I re-created it for this forum. Thank you Okami for this fine question.

So...

I'd like to be Simba because out of these characters I'm in some ways like adult Simba anyway in personality, and he had a great dad, interesting psychological twist of life, interesting period of life with Timon and Pumbaa, Timon and Pumbaa as friends and he was to be the king of a gorgeous, prosperous kingdom.

I would be Kovu, since he goes through an emotional journey as well, and develops in a neat way. He had no father, a terrible mother and brother and his adoptive father was Scar, so he had to follow in his pawprints. His path was halted when Simba returned fought Scar, and supposedly killed him. Kovu's childhood was stolen by his obsessive mother, so she could fulfill her love and obsession for Scar. He meets Kiara, who is fresh and open, accepts him for who he is and and finds him as a trye person, possibly healing his emotional scars.
