COMMENTING ON AN ARTICLE:
SENDING AN ARTICLE:
- On Topic: it's topic and content must be somehow related to Disney's The Lion King.
- Titles: name your article appropriately, so that people will see from the title, what the article is about.
- Language: written in english language.
- Words: no chat speak, (ie. "u r", "gr8", "lol".) Write appropriate english to the best of your ability.
- Grammar: watch the punctuation, capital letters an such. Typos are generally over-looked but too much is always too much as in not allowed. The grammar/spell check in a word processor like Microsofr Word or WordPad, is a big help in grammar and spelling.
- Length: must be at least one (1) page long, in a word processor such as MS Word or WordPad. (Don't put one or more empty line between each line because when that's pulled together into an appropriate form, it's too short. Paragraphs should be used, but wisely.)
- Topic: no dublicate articles. Check if there already is one of the same topic or a similar topic in the Articles OR in the discussion areas. If there is, consider if you could just post your thoughts as a comment to that topic.
- Content: no 'sexual' or 'violent' articles, or in any way insultive or offensive content.
- Stealing: do not steal. The article should be your own, original text, and if borrowed someone else's text, it should be between quotation marks and properly credited. Possible, refered images' creators should be credited.
- Opinions: Opinion articles are allowed but again, don't claim your opinions as facts if they really are not.
- Reviews: movie reviews are allowed but must be marked into the title of the topic that it's a review.
- Facts: If something is just your opinion/belief/theory, make it clear in the article. As in don't give an impression that your own belief/opinion/theory is a fact. And if you state a real official fact, you must refer to an official source which can be checked out for verification.
- Fan theories & fanfiction: not allowed. You can post fan theories at the discussion boards in The Lion King cateogory and fanfiction in the Fanfiction board.
- Images: images between img-tags are allowed if they strongly relate to the topic or if the topic is refering to an image, but if there are many, please link most of them insread of slapping them directly to the article. And 600 pixels wide is the maximum in size. Images don't add to the length.
- Links: no advertising text or links unless it directly and strognly relates to the topic of your article. But a possible advertisement should be in non-profit purposes. But an article should not be all about an advertisment. This is just if you want to briefly mention something at the end of an article.
COMMENTING ON AN ARTICLE:
- No SPAMming. (Stupid Pointless Annoying Messgaing.) As in, reason your opinions at least with a few lines.
- No flaming. If you don't like the article, you can say that - but appropriately critisize, don't put it down as complete rubbish and no need to be rude.
- No rude, insultive or otherwise offensive comments on the articles or other people's comments. Let's play nice even if opinions differ. Heated arguments can be expected and are allowed but respect should be kept in mind.
- Just use common sense and general respect when posting a comment and discussing with other commenters.
- No random advertising on the comments.
